Artist Statement Ideas

I like to use juxtaposition in my work. I often pair the beautiful with something grotesque or shocking. I like to show inner emotions and the uncertainty that we encounter inside ourselves. With pieces like my tar paper dress and the meat face dinner, I expose feelings of vulnerability. I find it interesting to expose feelings we prefer not to show the world. Most times we put our best self on display but the dark complexity that we try to hide is what really fascinates me.
