Turtle Island Description

The basis or foundation of the turtle (body)

There will be two pair of "hands and legs" that will be attached later on once the body has been sculpted.

My project is ...
  • open
  • flowing
  • curving
  • rotating
  • supporting
  • layering
  • arranging
  • pairing
  • covering
  • weaving
  • laminating
  • systematizing
  • balanced

1/4 inch X 12 inch metal sheets, using for shell

It is also symmetrical, the shell's pattern will compose of metal bent on a curve to represent a shell and while also resembling geometric shapes with each bend. Each half of the shell will be a mirror image of the other (no changes in shape composition). There will be tree-like structures that extend from the wooden body and protrude pass these metal sheets.

Geometric pattern being used for the shell
