Final tree
my project is:
growing
consuming
weaving
diseased
haunted
trapping
safety
relief
The tree looks rough and has sharp edges. the way that it abruptly ends makes it look a bit like a cage of sorts. The design that was made with the buffer makes the tree look simultaneously beautiful and "diseased"
memories
suppressed
despair
I'm thinking of painting a picture like this for behind the tree. Or like the one below even though they both come with a different feeling/meaning to them...I suppose I'll have to consider which provides more meaning to my project and I'll have to think about "what my project is doing" -Katie
strangled
staring
fear
harm
My tree is finished! So now I'm going to work on the eyes that will be going in the holes between the branches, as well as the picture I hope to paint behind the tree on the wood background. Then I'll just need to wrap the wire around the tree and fasten the lights and then I'll just have to work on finishing touches.

What if you carve the imagery on wood? Think about it and is it crucial to what your piece is doing? Get some opinions from your classmates too.
