Light Vessel v2

This is probably one of the toughest project I have ever set my sights on doing. Not only is it tough to explain but also the mechanism and engineering of it is probably the most challenging aspect. After multiple consultations with Matt, Kevin and Katie. I basically figured out how to go about making it. This will be the first time I ever planned a project in such detail! 1. The light source: after knowing the maximum and minimum distance of the focal points I can decide how many messages I want. Hence this radioshack visit: (switch, battery holders, wires, lightbulbs) - it is harder than you think when no one in the shop knows barely ANY basic electrical knowledge!
2. Once I know the distance, I can go to the laser cutter and cut out words, quotes, adjectives that are more meaningful and indepth than maybe 'sad' or 'nice. 3. Then I will be able to make the stencil holders, so i can change the stencils out easily whenever I want or need to 4. At this point I will be able to set up the mechanics and the whole system; and start to work on the exterior. I already have an idea of how I want it to look and I know the tools in the shop now that will be allow me to build what I want. This is a tough project for me because as much as I want to just dive in heads first, I know that without careful planning this will be a complete flop. and that will make me very sad. very sad. :(

Alright Lia, I'm glad you are taking on something so ambitious. I'm excited to see it come together!
